The Period of PURPLE Crying® is a new program which educates parents and caregivers about the normalcy of early infant crying, provides tips to cope with this crying and teaches about the dangers of reacting to an infant’s crying in frustration.

The program is being implemented in hospitals, doctors offices, health departments and many other places across North Carolina to ensure all parents and caregivers are aware of this normal phase in their baby's development. 

A major component of providing the program to parents and caregivers was the creation of a website which could provide more information about the PURPLE program as well as other child development topics which parents and caregivers may find frustrating including crying, sleeping, soothing and child care.

This new website, www.PURPLEcryingnc.info, is different from other sites in that all of the information is research based and written by experts in various fields of child development.  The website provides accurate and reliable information to parents and caregivers which can help them better understand the various phases in their child's development and provide tips to effectively deal with these phases.

The entire site has been designed to be as intuitive and easily navigable as possible.  The site features many real life examples of what parents and caregivers go through every day to better help others relate to these periods in their baby's development.
